How the Clipra video editor handles your data.
Last updated: 31 October 2026. Polish version: Polityka prywatności Clipra.
Clipra is a video editor for Android by IDCT Bartosz Pachołek ("we"). Its promise is simple: no account, no upload, no watermark. This policy explains what that means for your data.
Your videos stay on your phone
Clipra edits your photos, videos and sound on your device. Your media, transcripts, captions, voiceovers and projects are never uploaded to us or to anyone else. Clipra has no account and no sign-in, and we run no servers that receive your content.
The AI features (captions, voice cleanup, cutout, face tracking, reframe) run on your phone. Clipra reads the photos and videos you pick with Android's photo picker, and nothing else in your gallery. It records with the microphone only while you record a voiceover. It saves exports and the files you choose to save (captions, cover, sound, project) to your device.
Clipra keeps no analytics and no crash reports of its own, and it doesn't back up its data to the cloud.
When Clipra uses the internet
- AI models. When you choose to download a model, Clipra fetches it from its official source: Whisper models from Hugging Face (huggingface.co, the whisper.cpp project), DeepFilterNet from GitHub (github.com) and caption translation models from Mozilla's model storage on Google Cloud (storage.googleapis.com). By default this happens on Wi-Fi only. These services see the request (your IP address and the file asked for), as any website does, and nothing about your content.
- Ads, for the free version. Clipra is free with two short ads around each export. They come from Google AdMob. Before any ad in the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Clipra asks for your consent through Google's consent form. Google may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), approximate location from your IP address, and how you interact with ads, to show and measure ads and to prevent fraud. See how Google uses data from apps that use its services. You can change your consent in Clipra's settings, and reset or delete your advertising ID in Android's settings.
- Clipra Pro. Clipra Pro is a one-time purchase through Google Play that removes the ads. Google Play handles the payment; Clipra only learns whether you own Clipra Pro, to restore it. To do that, Clipra checks your purchases with Google Play each time it starts, for every user, and Google Play's billing library sends Google diagnostic information about these checks. With Clipra Pro the ads SDK isn't used at all.
Children
Clipra isn't directed at children under 16.
Your rights
We hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to give you, change or delete. For data Google processes for ads and purchases, see Google's privacy policy. Deleting Clipra deletes everything it stored on your phone, except the files you saved to your gallery or folders.
