What the Helena app collects (nothing) and how this site handles your data.
Who is responsible
The data controller is IDCT Bartosz Pachołek, ul. Kaszubska 12/8C, 70-403 Szczecin, Poland, NIP (VAT EU) PL7642542255. Contact us through the contact form or by post to this address.
The Helena app: nothing
The Helena application collects no data at all. It has no accounts, no telemetry and no analytics, and it makes no automatic or background network requests: it never phones home on its own. Its only outbound traffic is what you explicitly start: the API requests you send and, only if you click Check for updates in the status bar, a single call to the GitHub API to compare your version.
Your collections, environments and secrets stay on your own machine. There is nothing to opt out of, because nothing is collected. This applies to every build: the Microsoft Store listing, the release downloads and builds from source.
This website
Helena's pages are part of idct.tech. The site shows no advertising. It can count visits with Google Analytics, but only if you accept it in the cookie banner: nothing is loaded from Google before you choose, and you can change your answer at any time under cookie settings at the bottom of every page. The site's privacy policy explains what the site and its contact form collect and how long it is kept, and the cookie list names every cookie.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict the processing of your data, to object to it, and to lodge a complaint with your data protection supervisory authority (in Poland, the UODO). To exercise any of these, use the contact form or write to the address above.
Changes
17 October 2026: Helena's website moved from its own site to idct.tech/software/helena. The old site's own analytics and banner are gone; idct.tech asks once, for the whole site, before any analytics loads. The app itself did not change; it still collects nothing.
